The three wise men gave the gifts of frankincense, myrrh, and gold to the infant Messiah as a meaningful act of worship, revealing His divine purpose.
 
1. **Frankincense**: This valuable resin was used in incense and perfumes, often associated with worship and the divine. The gift of frankincense symbolizes His divine nature and His role in connecting the divine with the earthly, highlighting the recognition of Him as more than just a king, but also as divine and holy.
 
2. **Myrrh**: Myrrh was a resin commonly used in anointing oils, perfumes, and as an embalming agent. The gift of myrrh signified His suffering and death, as it was associated with burial practices. It symbolizes the sacrificial aspect of His mission, acknowledging that He would endure suffering and ultimately give His life for the redemption of humanity.
 
3. **Gold**: signifies Him as King and royal status, acknowledging Him as the Sovereign of all.

Matthew 2:11 "And coming into the house, they saw the Child with Miryam His mother, and fell down and did reverence to Him, and opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, and frankincense, and myrrh".
